Discover Our Process...
Our process begins with an initial consultation where we gather information about the client's medical history, lifestyle, goals and dietary preferences. Using this information, we develop a personalised set of nutritional priorities and strategies and that is tailored to your individual needs and goals. We provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the journey to ensure that our clients are supported in their endeavour to achieve optimal health and wellbeing. Our approach is based on the latest nutritional science and is designed to be practical, sustainable, and effective.

"Eating is the most complex sensory task our body has to do!" And many children need some additional support finding a comfortable balance point between sensory stimulation & nutrition. In addition, many children bypass the oro-motor skills required to feed themselves well and adapt their chewing motion to the skills they have. This affects the textures of food they can comfortably eat.
Feeding therapy is designed to work with children's oro-motor and sensory needs, to help them develop the skills required to eat a nutritious variety of food, in a non threatening (no pressure to eat) environment. This can be great fun, very messy and a fabulous way to explore foods for our most challenging eaters!

Note about appointment duration/fees:

Each appointment includes allowance for 15-30mins follow up time, depending on appointment type/duration.
You will only be charged for the time needed to provide you the best quality care.
If you need more than this, your practitioner will discuss this with you or you are welcome to discuss with our friendly reception team. If you need less, invoices will be adjusted accordingly.

Plan and NDIA managed NDIS clients will be invoiced in line with NDIS requirements.
NDIS appointments will be invoiced based on total time spent (including follow up) and invoices are consistent with NDIS pricing agreements. NDIS service agreements can be provided, on request.

Appointment duration and subsequent fees are tailored to individual needs. Some clients prefer and benefit from shorter sessions, more often. Others want/need longer sessions, less often. Your dietitian will discuss this with you. You are welcome to express your preferences in this regard. This can be discussed with your dietitian or our friendly reception team.

NDIS funding, Medicare and Private health rebates are available for those eligible.
Feel free to discuss this with our reception staff, your health professional/service providers.

Telehealth & Face-to-Face Appointments
Currently appointments are being provided via telehealth (video link) by default. If you would prefer a face-to-face appointment, please contact us on 0423088517 or email info@gutandkidsnutrition.com.au to request.

When last surveyed, 97% of our clients preferred telehealth appointments.
Telehealth allows you the flexibility to attend an appointment from the comfort of your own home. Your child can continue to play/sleep/eat in a familiar environment. Commute time is saved. Appointments can be squeezed in around other commitments more easily. Otherwise, the content of our sessions are exactly the same no matter how they are delivered.
Additionally, the insight telehealth provides into your home lives (and the easy access to your pantry, if needed) enhances sessions over and above what is on offer in clinic.

Face-to-face appointments are available (pending room availability) if preferred. Please contact us on 0423088517 or email info@gutandkidsnutrition.com.au to arrange face to face appointments.
